Intel Terms from a Special Forces Perspective

Description

When I was assigned to the S2, 1/5th SFG(A) (1995-1999), I found this pinned to the wall the first day I walked in. I asked who it belonged to and no one claimed it. I asked if I could have it and they said sure. I believe when I walked into the S2 (I had come over from the MID where I had been for a year - 1994), they had just had a changeover of the S2 and the NCOIC. That said, I don't know who the author is. I AM NOT THE AUTHOR. But I got a real big kick out of it since it accurately sums up the terms we used in the special operations intelligence world on a fairly regular basis.

I wanted to share this with you in the hopes you'd have a smile over it too.

-------------------------------
There are a couple of acronyms you may not be familiar with. If you have any other questions just let me know and I'll try to answer them without getting into any classified information.

INSCOM = U.S. Army Intelligence & Security Command ("conducts intelligence, security, and information operations for U.S. Army commanders and national decision makers")

TMO = Technical Management Office ("...support end to end mission planning and execution, work with contractor management to identify innovations and enhancements to technical products and processes.")
-------------------------------
As for the category? Tell me of a better category and I'll change it. But until then it goes under historical non-fiction literature. I could successfully argue that this is a primary source document for the U.S. Army. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

((If I was feeling better right now I'd be busting a gut laughing over this. Whoever wrote that when you found it on the wall was a freaking genius. XD))
